Engraved frontispiece by Copia after A.-L.Girodet and 22 engraved plates (14 after F.Gérard, 6 after Girodet and 2 unsigned, all by Baquoy, Beisson, Copia and others). (Limitation stained by original preservative, light browning and dust soiling to some extreme margins.) Contemporary half dark blue roan over blue paper covered boards, small central gilt arms to covers, red roan gilt lettering pieces to spine, uncut (discreet expert repairs at head and tail of front joint, extremities lightly rubbed).
