Voragine (Jacobus de). Lege[n]da hec aurea nitidis excutitur formis claretq[u]e plurimu[m] sensoria castigatio[n]e, Lyon, Gilbert de Villiers for Martin Bouillon, 11 August 1514, decorative woodcut title printed in red and black, eight unnumbered leaves, 156 leaves numbered in roman numerals (A8, a-t8, v4), text printed in double-column in black letter, with numerous woodcut initials throughout, minor soiling to title and light marks to margins (generally a clean copy), early ownership inscription to head of title crossed out (dated 1562), additional early ownership inscription (possibly late 16th or early 17th century) in ink to foot of title (somewhat indistinct) 'Aegidine Mariullo me suum fecit legitime pretio.1', with further inscription to lower blank margin 'Voragine autore', 19th-century printed ownership label of Abbé Rouget, Secretaire à l'Archeveché à Besancon, to front pastedown, and 20th-century ownership inscription of D. L. Cumming to front endpaper, 19th century plain boards with 20th-century brown cloth re-back, 4to in 8's Von Gultlingen, Bibliographie des livres imprimés à Lyon au seizième siècle, III, page 15: 11; Pettegree & Walsby, French Books III & IV: Books published in France before 1601, 75040.
