(Ricks, p. 30) Condition: An attractive example of an important account. Modest handling wear and rubbing to the covers with professional restoration to the joints and inner hinges. The folding map with several tape repairs and a 2 inch "closed tear" near the connection at the inner hinge. Most of the engraved plates are based upon drawings by Back and were engraved by Finden.
