Waltham Mahogany Presentation Banjo Clock. Original 7 in. painted metal dial signed "Waltham", with black hour numbers, original hands; typical brass 8 day weight driven movement signed "Waltham Watch Co." numbered "9006", has maintaining power, brass covered pendulum bob with long wood stick, black painted weight baffle and lead weight. Mahogany case has a typical banjo form, fluted tapering bracket with teardrop acorn finial and turned brass presentation spheres, brass eagle finial on top, brass bezel w/ convex glass and pierced brass side arms; reverse painted throat glass with gilt filigree and reverse painted lower table with view of Independence Hall. Good running condition, case has a French polished finish, polished brass mounts in good condition, glasses are original with some flaking and paint loss. . 41 in. high x 10.25 in. wide x 4 in. deep. Weight: 19.5 lbs.
