It was purchased of Ezekiel Webster...by Samuel Fletcher of Concord...etc. Sold as an association copy, not subject to return. DANIEL WEBSTER'S COPY. After attending Phillips Exeter Academy in 1796, Webster attended Dartmouth College and, after graduating, began the study of law in the office of Thomas W. Thompson in Salisbury, applying himself to the foundation legal treatises of Blackstone, Vattel, Robertson and, evidently, Coke on Littleton. He was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in March 1805.
