of Cadet Charles Gerhardt. Large folio, morocco leather with gilt edges, front cover embossed and gilt with West Point crest and "Chas. Gerhardt." Surnames handwritten in pencil under silver gelatin cabinet cards; four portraits to a page. First page contains Grover Cleveland, Generals W.T. Sherman, P.H. Sheridan, and West Point Commander Wesley Merritt, followed by five pages of professors: Andrews, Michie, Wheeler, Larned, Tillman, Bass, Chaffain, Mercur, Stanton, Commander Hasbrorch, Metcalfe, Captain Godfrey, unnamed, Captain Price, Kirby, Davis, Bacon, Alexander, unnamed, Saunders, and Winthrop (found on the last page of book). The rest of the book contains 75 stoic portraits of the graduating cadets. Of graduates, George Owen Squire was appointed chief signal officer in 1917, overseeing all army communications and aviation in WWI; and is recognized for institutionalizing research in the army. Interspersed throughout the yearbook are scenic images of campus, group pictures of the upperclassmen, a picnic photograph of the cadets and their girls, and a photograph of a dorm room. Condition:Photographs in EXC to MINT condition, has shelf wear and edges of spine slightly frayed.
