Willem Janszoon Blaeu (1571-1638). Surria Vernacule Surrey. Amsterdam: Blaeu, c. 1645 (380mm x 497 mm). Original copper-engraving and hand colouring with decorative title-cartouche representing animals; a depiction of London; royal and aristocratic coats of arms, including three blank shields. French text on verso (Some spotting). With: Johan Blaeu (1596-1673). Middle-Sexia. Amsterdam, c. 1645 (390mm x 405 mm). Copper engraved and hand coloured (minor spotting). An early representation of the County of Middlesex, including a charming depiction of London on the Thames, a decorative cartouche and a coat of arms. French text on verso. With: Johan Blaeu. Cantabrigiensis Comitatus. Amsterdam: c. 1645 (415 x 520 mm). Copper engraved and hand coloured (minor spotting). Engraved hand-coloured early map of Cambridgeshire which first appeared in Joan Blaeu’s Le Theatre du Monde ou Nouvelle Atlas (1645), as part of a county atlas of England and Wales, reappearing in volume five of his “Atlas Maior”.
