Second edition, copy on thick brownish paper, of the same work as in the preceding lot, Vail's third state of the map with the title in 7 lines, references and much additional geographical detail. The large map here similarly shows the Genessee lands in relation to the Atlantic Coast and Mid-Atlantic states though on a larger scale. This edition provides eight letters (versus five in the first) and, at end, a 2-page list of taverns on the road from Albany to Geneva and then on to Niagara.
