Wilson of Philadelphia from his series "Scenes in the Orient," each with Wilson's 1882 copyright blindstamps in the corner of the left and right views, a printed title in the negative, and Arabic script at top center. Subjects include the Sphinx ("Sphynx"), "Moslems at Prayer," street scenes and landmarks in Cairo and Alexandria, the interior of a large Damascus residence, and more. All in near-excellent condition, with only light light corner wear. Grouping accompanied by a view by J. Brownell, St. Paul, of a ruined mosque near Cairo, and a soiled Bierstadt view of the Sphinx and Great Pyramid.
