Standard Winchester barrel, tang and receiver marks, barrel additionally marked .30 GOVT. 1906. Top of receiver marked .30 / GOV. / .06. Receiver-mounted Lyman adjustable peep sight, as well as folding leaf sight on barrel, pinned blade front sight. It is amazing that at the height of WWI contract production of M-1895s for the Russian Army that Winchester was still turning out such finely made arms for the civilian market. Condition: Very good to fine. Retains much of the original blued finish, particularly on the barrel, with the right side of the receiver showing the most finish loss, and a smooth gray patina. Fine bore and mechanics. Wood fine as well showing only some minor handling marks, missing hand guard.
