Painted by Bernard Hailstone This portrait was presented to Sir Winston Churchilll by the Confederation of the Cinque Ports and was placed in this hall at his direction'; a photographic reproduction of the finished portrait; two photographs of the artist and Churchill discussing the painting; the Luncheon table plan and Church service from the presentation which took place at a meeting of the Courts of Brotherhood and Guestling of the Confederation of Cinque Ports, held at the White Rock Pavilion, Hastings, on September 7th 1955; and a quantity of other ephemera including Churchill's leather suitcase in which the uniform was carried to the artist's studio.
