SWM, which stands for Speedy Working Motors, were based in the Italian town of Rivolta d'Adda, and began a vigorous if short stint in the motorcycle industry in 1971, but vanishing from the market about 20 years ago. Using Sachs and Rotax engines they were successful in competitions from the outset, entering trials, enduro, and motocross events, in both the home country and elsewhere in Europe. [NB The SWM trials model was imported to England for several seasons; these machines were all fitted with Austrian built Rotax engines.] Although fully silenced, and fitted with basic lights, these increasingly rare twin-shock machines have a strictly functional specification. The stock condition blue and yellow TL320, purchased by the Museum in 1996, was formerly used by multi Austrian Champion Walter Wolf. Offered with original Registration document.
