A daisho, the katana with engraved blade depicting a coiled dragon and a vajra, with square-shaped bronze tsuba decorated with scrolling foliage, the silk-bound shagreen hilt mounted with gilt bronze menuki modelled as karashishi and the fuchi-kashira decorated with scrolling foliage on a nanako ground, the black lacquer scabbard sprinkled in aogai and mounted similarly (kurikata missing, blade badly worn, old damages) -- the blade 25.in.long, The blade early 1400's ; with accompanying wakizashi with plain steel blade, similar tsuba and mounts, the scabbard fitted with an iron kozuka (blade worn, one menuki missing, damages to scabbard) -- the blade 17.in.long, Circa 1500.
