(A) LOT OF 2: E. WHITNEY NAVY AND REMINGTON 1858 PERCUSSION REVOLVERS

Lot consists of: (A) Whitney Navy percussion revolver with 7 - 1/2" octagon barrel in .36 caliber with dovetail blade front sight and frame notch rear. 2 piece plain walnut grips. CONDITION: Fair, with finishes turned to a speckled brown patina with handling and storage marks throughout. Grips are strong with no major cracks, but have chips at toe and gap near rear of frame on both sides. Action needs attention as it does not index correctly. Bore is dark. (B) Remington 1858 percussion revolver with 8" octagon barrel chambered in .44 caliber with dovetail blade front sight and frame notch rear. 2 piece plain walnut grips. CONDITION: Fair, with finishes turned a heavy brown patina with heavy handling marks throughout. Grips are ill fitting with heavy handling marks and finish loss especially at high edges. Action needs attention as cylinder does not move when hammer is cocked. Rammer will not stay in upright position. Bore is dark.
