A well detailed 25ft:1in scale wood and metal waterline model of the Aberdeen Line passenger liner S.S.'Marathon' of 1903 built by R.A.Wilson. Measurements overall --8 x 26½in (20.3 x 67.3cm) With masts, derricks, rigging and deck details including figurehead, anchors, winch, deck rails, companionways, hatches, deck winches, superstructure with bridge, ventilators, engine room and deck lights, stayed funnels, passenger accomodation, sixteen lifeboats and many other details. The framed and plated hull is finished in green, white and brown and mounted on a painted moulded seascape. Glazed case. Historical data and carrying box. See illustration
