The New Testament of Jesus Christ, translated faithfully into English, out of the authentical Latin, Rheims: John Fogny, 1582. 4°, title with woodcut typographical border, woodcut head- and tailpieces, large and small woodcut initials (title a little soiled, slightly frayed at edges and with small ink blot on border, the blot also affecting title verso, some spotting of preliminaries, A2-3 adhering together at bottom margin, 2K1r with ink traces at lower margin, worming at lower margin from 3D1 to end, worsening in final quires, 4R1 with clean tear into text, some headlines slightly shaved, some upper margins slightly soiled, light waterstains), contemporary speckled calf ruled in blind (upper cover detached, spine chipped, lettering-piece worn); occasional marginal annotations in two early hands; St. Joseph's Diocesan Seminary (gift label).
