The author Rabbi and physician of Padua, Italy, has described the attempt to storm the Ghetto in Padua, where Jews were accused of siding with the Turkish enemy and having murdered Christian prisoners-of-war in Budapest. Luckily the garrison commander of Padua was able to repel the attackers. The engraving represents the binding of Isaac, is an allusion to the name of the author, who fittingly called the story of his experiences in Padua, Pachad Yitschak (the fear of Isaac) (see: M.H. Gans, Memorbook p. 143, where title and engraving are illustrated).
