Walnut stock has checkering to round knob semi pistol grip and splinter forearm. Engravings include hunting dog vignettes to both lockplates, as well as light English scroll and patterned borders. Fences, hammers, tangs, and triggerguard are also engraved with English scroll and English scroll-style borders. Other markings include "WINCHESTER REPEATING/ARMS Co./CLASS A" with Class A marked in gothic-style text to both lockplates. Barrel rib is marked "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS Co. (CLASS A) NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A." in similar font styles to lockplates. There are also two {crossed scepters/V} Birmingham House proof marks to water tables, considering these guns were imported from England for sales only to be made at the Winchester New York City office. Grades ranged from Grade D (lowest quality) to Class A and Match Grade (highest qualities). Item features double triggers, double hammers, and a shield medallion to bottom edge of buttstock. 14" length of pull, 1.75" drop to comb, 2.75" drop to heel. Improved modified and improved cylinder chokes. Condition: Fair. Bores are dark and have residue. Item has a brown patina to barrels, with a few occurences of light oxidation and denting overall. There is also a small pin-hole to exterior of left barrel that does not appear to penetrate barrel chamber. Case hardening is somewhat weak overall. Splinter forearm has wood loss to forend. Action is functional.
