Sometimes the originating nursery is noted. Notes also include fruit trees for the west wall and the borders, giving numbers of trees. In 1763 a list of trees and shrubs "Planted before the Rustic Buildings" consists of 64 separate plantings, among them Portugese laurels, Bay trees, Honeysuckles and Swedish Juniper.
