GEORGE BERNARD SHAW (1856-1950); JAMES ABBOTT MCNEILL WHISTLER (1834-1903) & OTHERS An engraved visiting card, signed by Whistler in monogram with an inscription: "To Mr. J.E. MacManus. With sincere compliments upon the bright and graceful article in this mornings papers" (some light soiling). A compliment card, from Adelphi Terrace, London W.C.2, 30th March 1926, signed and inscribed with initials by Bernard Shaw: "Excuse this scrawl. I am still an invalid." With a quantity of other autograph letters, signed, including those by Robert Service, Max Pemberton, Alistair Sim and Mabel Lucie Attwell a programme signed by H.G. Wells, Joe Beckett and Jimmy Wilde, and a pencil drawing of a farm horse signed by Anton Lock
