Moscow: Imperial Moscow University, 1771. 8° (208 x 125mm). Engraved head- and tail-pieces. Titlepages and introduction in both Russian and German, and a short guide to Russian grammar in German. List of subscribers. (Occasional light spotting, light mostly marginal staining throughout, some marginal tears, mostly short, some small holes in first and last leaves.) Contemporary mottled calf, red edges, marbled endpapers (re-backed preserving the original spine, some repairs to corners, some surface abrasions). Provenance : deleted early inscription. FIRST EDITION. Hölterhof was lecturer in German at the Imperial Moscow University, where he taught from 1764 to 1779. RARE: WorldCat records only one copy in the US, at Indiana University. SK 1327; Sopikov 5926.
