Contemporary mottled calf, red edges, marbled endpapers (re-backed preserving the original spine, some repairs to corners, some surface abrasions). Provenance : deleted early inscription. FIRST EDITION. Hölterhof was lecturer in German at the Imperial Moscow University, where he taught from 1764 to 1779. RARE: WorldCat records only one copy in the US, at Indiana University.
