HORACE (65-8 B.C.). Opera . London: John Pine 1733-1737. 2 volumes, 8°, (215 x 131mm), all-engraved by Pine with frontispiece in each volume, plate at end of vol. I, illustrations, some full-page, vignettes, and ornamental initials, ruled in red throughout (vol. I is without the leaf following the title with full-page portrait of Horace on recto and dedication to Walpole on verso, and without the leaf between pp. 68-69 with full-page engraving on recto and dedication to Richard Ellys on verso), contemporary French green morocco, triple fillets on covers, gilt-panelled spines with floral tooling, gilt edges (spines faded, corners bumped). Provenance : Charles Monselet (bookplate, c. 1900). FINE COPY. Second issues with "POTEST" around the Caesar medal on p. 108 in vol. II. Swift is included in the subscribers' list from Dublin (vol.
