Just like the original drawing, which was made with blue Bic ballpoint pen on paper, the plaster bust and the reproductions of the drawing are also colored with ink from the blue Bic ballpoint pen. Partly because of this, the work can be considered part of Fabre's overall project "The Blue Hour".
