Richard Garrod (1924-2022) was a California photographer who, influenced by "straight photography", studied with Ansel Adams Brett Weston and Minor White Garrod would, in turn, go on to teach photography workshops for more than 25 years including time spent at Ansel Adams' Workshop at Yosemite, UC Santa Cruz Extension, Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, Friends of Photography, and many other programs. His prints are in many private and institutional collections including the Smithsonian Institution, George Eastman House, Polaroid Corporation, Oakland Museum of California, and the National Museum of Art in Kyoto, Japan. Conway Summit is a mountain pass in Mono County, California with spectacular views of Mono Lake and the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Condition: Fine, or nearly so.
