Letter of greetings by Rabbi Shlomo Even Danan to Rabbi Yehoshua Aharon Afriat. Over the leaf appears the name of the addressee with warning not to break the boycott and not open the letter on its way to the receiver. Rabbi Shlomo Even Danan, leading Moroccan rabbi (1848-1930), disciple of Rabbi Eliyahu Ha-Tzarfati, Kabbalist and Ga'on, served as Rabbi of Fez and Rabat. Author of Ashe Le-Shlomo Responsum. The receiver of the letter was the pious and holy Rabbi Yehoshua Aharon Afriat of Sefrou. Died in 1901 – see enclosed material. Written widthwise (15 cm). Good condition, folded letter marks.
