Longton Hall Porcelain Mythological Figure of Ceres Circa 1753-55, unmarked Emblematic of Summer, the goddess of agriculture modeled standing holding a sheaves of wheat cradled in her right arm and further sheaf form a wreath adorning her hair, her décolleté classic robe painted with scattered flower sprigs, at her knee an infant Cupid clings to the folds and offers a posy, the rocaille-molded mound base enriched in pink and green.
