Magic - Autographed and Illustrated Author's Presentation Copies, with an Interesting Association, Tarbell (Harlan), The Tarbell Course in Magic, seven-volume set: Lessons 1 to 91, mixed editions and printings, New York: Louis Tannen, 1946-1972, in-text illustrations, contemporary cloth bindings, volume 7 with dustjacket only, 8vo, [7] Provenance: Volumes 1-3 & 5-6: Alexander Cannon (1896-1963), (the fraudulently self-titled "His Excellency Dr Sir"), psychiatrist, hypnotist, and occultist, apparent one-time hypnotist of Edward VIII; "Magically" dedicated, inscribed, signed, and illustrated by the author to Cannon in ink MS, volumes 1-3 & 5 dated May 1953, volume 6, December 1954. The May 1953 dedications a token of thanks for the holiday at Cannon's Isle of Man residence-clinic, Laureston Mansion House, Douglas; each pastedown with Cannon's own ink MS ownership inscription, along with his self-appointed honours. Volume 4: Roland Winder, of "Parkstone", Park Avenue, his 20th century pictorial bookplate.
