Condition: Both with minor wear at edges of sheets, the vertical image with vertical creases at c.l. and u.c. N.B. In the spring of 1938, LIFE magazine sent Margaret Bourke-White the first female photographer to work for the magazine, and fellow staffer John Phillips to Czechoslovakia to document the country, its people, and the events leading up to Germany's annexation of Sudetenland, a region bordering the two countries inhabited primarily by Germans. Their pictorial survey was published in the May 30, 1938, issue of LIFE.
