Individual issues of this periodical are scarce and we cannot trace an unbroken run such as this in the last forty years of auctions. The first series was published in 1681 and ran to only 21 issues, this second series began in 30th March 1692 and ran for approximately 10 years. The list of subjects covered includes manures, trades, importing of goods, arts of fowling and fishing and the management of rivers, woods and estates. The advertisements include a vast array of personal notices and provide extraordinary snapshots of 17th century London life.
