ca 1840 .12 gauge 33.5" octagonal-to-round barrel stamped London and R.H.. Engraved lockplate stamped Rich Hollis. Fine checkered grips plus ornately engraved tang, trigger guard and buttplate. German silver escutcheon inlay at top of wrist, plus two German silver inlays on each side of forearm. Condition: 2.5" old crack in left buttstock. Wood retains ca 99% original varnish. All markings and engravings are crisp. Barrel has a very pleasant plum color.
