Royalty & Medical - George IV (1762-1830), the Death of a King, two ink manuscripts: 1st) Sir Jonathan Wathen Waller, 1st Baronet, GCH (1769–1853), the royal eye doctor to King George III of Great Britain and his son William IV, who also attended the death of George IV, a 2pp autograph account by JWW, within a black mourning border, formerly with John Wilson of Oxford, (1); Sir Henry Halford (1766-1844) & Sir Matthew John Tierney (1766-1845), but written in an unidentified hand during the king's last illness, 1pp dated June 12th 1830, 'The King continues less embarrassed in his Respiration. His Majesty passed another good night', but the royal physicians had already told the King that his end was near. He died on the night of the 25th, formerly with John Wilson of Oxford, (1), [2]
