Nicknamed the "Record Player" by Red Army soldiers, the Russian DP-27 started its service trials in 1927 and was entered into Soviet military service in 1928. The DP-27 was the standard Soviet infantry light machine gun, and saw much use in Soviet aircraft and tanks during World War II. This DP-27 was assembled from a Russian parts kit. The dummy receiver is constructed of solid aluminum. Russian pan magazine shows Finnish "SA" property stamps. CONDITION: Metal components retain majority of blue finish showing minor areas of wear, while the receiver retains the majority of its black finish.
