Veuve-Clicquot--Vintage 1982 Tasting note: A large number of notes starting in Sept 1988; drunk as a aperitif, as a reviver, with cooked cheese dishes, at a British Airways tasting - wherever and whenever, showing well. I was told that the 160kg of fruit was pressed to produce 100l of juice. A good colour from the start, when it had a slightly green youthful tinge, now beginning to settle down. Lovely nose, fairly assertive, crusty, scented, considerable depth. A distinctly dry wine, firm, with good weight and length. M.B. 1 dozen bottles per dozen
