Antwerp: Gerard de Jode 1568. 18 leaves (sheet size: 264 x 358mm.). Engraved title (text in Latin and Dutch) within an elaborate border by Lucas and Johannes Doetechum, 17 plates by Vredeman de Vries. (Some slight soiling, signs of old folds.) Unbound within a modern marbled portfolio. Berlin Kat. 3572. [Album of Corinthian and Composite columns. N.p.:] Hironymous Cock, 1565. 2° (357 x 260mm.). 22 numbered engraved plates. (Most plates wormed and with earlier repairs to damage caused by damp.) Modern cloth-backed boards. Provenance : Pope Urban VIII ? (early ownership stamps on margin of each plate: papal insignia and lettered 'Urbania'). The first work is a rare suite of perspectival views of fountains set in elaborate architectural settings and gardens. (2)
