GPAnalysis: A 4.5 sold for $584 in July 2021. Depravity alert: Mannie Banks's "Cadaver" is one of the tawdriest pre-Code tales ever told. It features a handsome mortician who brings "leftovers" from work to feed his loathsome fiancée, a ghoulish old hag whose fortune he hopes to inherit. The story is loaded with inadvertent innuendos and double-entendres ("Oh, sweetheart! You're so good to me! You know I just LOVE to chew on this type of meat!"). Finally, the mortician snaps and bashes the old ghoul's mug in with a hammer, sending her broken teeth flying in all directions. Soon, the toothless hag returns from the grave eager to munch the mortician's meat, although her toothlessness surely requires her to suck rather than chew her prized morsels: "And now my darling!
