(Lacks first two leaves, fol. 298 [all supplied in manuscript facsimile], and 3 blank leaves at end, approx. 6 leaves supplied from other copy, approx. 8 leaves repaired, some text affected [including map of Europe, with tiny portion supplied in manuscript facsimile], a few woodcut illustrations colored, some early marginalia). Modern calf, tooled in gilt, g.e. FIRST EDITION, of the Nuremberg Chronicle, the most extensively illustrated book of the 15th century and a masterpiece of complex design.
