Foliation: [Title + 19 unumbered leaves], I-CCLXVI, [5 unnumbered leaves], CCLXVII-CCXCIX, [1 unnumbered leaf]. 325 leaves (of 328; without the three blanks), table and parts of text in two columns, 64 lines. Woodcut title, 1809 woodcut illustrations by Michael Wolgemut and Wilhelm Pleydenwurff including double-page maps of Europe and the World, and 29 woodcuts extending across 2 pages. (Slight worming to title and first few leaves to f.XIII and from f.CCLXX to the end, marginal tears to title, ff.X, XIII, CXXVI, CXXXIII and one of the unnumbered leaves, the tear running into the text on f.CXXVI only, f.CIX with paperfault resulting in a small hole in the lower blank margin, f.CCLXXVIII with a neat old repair to the recto of the lower blank margin, occasional light browning or fingering.) 18th-century English red morocco gilt, covers with elaborate border composed from rolls and rules with cornerpieces, spine in seven compartments, lettered in one, the others with overall symmetrical decoration, g.e.
